The history of the band begins in 1997 when the founder - Roman Shalyapin - dedicated his
time to experiments with guitar noises. This anti-human action saw the ligh as Malahit
project, which played on the border of American punk and Russian folk-rock.

In 1998 Roman continues experiments with guitar noise and meets Vitaliy Sedelnikov, poet and
musician from Rostov, and together they represented totally new project of Dons
underground.

During 2000-2005 Roman mainly studies literature and philosphy and continues underground
sound experiments. In the end of 2005, as a result of experiments with ideological concepts
and analogue-digital sounds, Ierophania was born.

Ritual martial industrial. Specific, continuous sound, gothic backgrounds, dirty, catacomb
percussion, liturgical voices and heavy, dirty, heroic omen of the last war....
