Published by the limited print run of 500 copies in thin DVD- boxing, the album of the conceptual project THERMIDOR must greatly please the worshippers of rather gloomy, mysterious and a little frightening beyond the limits- psychotropic ambient, which directs the bridges between the real and unreal places, the rational and irrational thinking, the present and past time, in particular since 1929 of past century. Besides of entire other, the album mysterious occult musician, which left the shadow by the name J, has graphical and theatrical faces, and also it comes into contact with first science fiction and experiments of such scientists, as Nicolas Tesla. The sonic landscapes of THERMIDOR at times seem surrealistic, isolationist, nightmarish, fantastic and spectral, but they also have a property to hypnotize and to open time-spatial corridors. In a sense hearing the album of 1929 akin how as if you found on the garret or in the basement of ancient house thick album with the black and white photographs turned yellow from the time, the mysterious monograms and the scientific documents, which you would begin to attentively examine, blowing away from them dust presenting to yourselves the fate of people from long ago, their inventions and the situations, in which all found the camera of photographer. This occupation, I must say, very captivating, especially as among eight compositions of album there are no weak things, and two of them are remixes of such masters of dark ambient as EMPUSAE and FLINT GLASS. Last tracks truly elegantly are entered in the concept of album. However, do not be surprised, if at some moment you hear in the head ringing or low hum. This can be both the sleepy hallucination and the approach of album to the following circle. Disk also contains the stylized horror- video clip Obituarium from Antonio Sabena and includes the curious special issue of newspaper Kingsport Clarion of 30th September 1929, that opens slightly the curtain of the secret that oversees the project THERMIDOR and telling about the strange events, which had to be in the world and around the mysterious project in the past. The album of 1929 can be boldly recommended to the hearing to worshippers of LUSTMORD, HERBST 9, FIRST LAW, COPH NIA and FLINT GLASS. We deal concerning the very worthy album in our genre, which has original features among entire other things. A little unexpected release for French label Brume Records and its Portuguese partner Thisco, and this is healthy! ENJOY!!!
