Controlled Bleeding - Music For Gilded Chambers (Vinyl) (1988)

GENRE..... Experimental
LABEL...... Sub Rosa
MODE....... VBRkbps / Joint-Stereo
REL.DATE.. Feb-29-2008

One of the most prolific and versatile bands in experimental
music, Controlled Bleeding were founded in 1979 by Paul Lemos
and Chris Moriarty. They started experimenting a strange kind of
pshychedelic music, but soon turned to the most violent and
uncompromising industrial noise, using metal percussions, real
pneumatic hammers and concrete mixers as sound sources. Their
debut LP "Knees And Bones" (1985) is probably the most
devastating industrial record ever, with its sheer brutal and
desperate music. From the second output on, Controlled Bleeding
tried new ways, alternating concrete noises with ambient and
experimental excursions, which will lead to a sort of new age
approach. Meanwhile, singer Joe Papa was hired, and his heavenly
vocals would have characterized the new course. The band
experimented almost any electronic genre, from EBM to the
electro/heavy metal crossover, to then split up in 2000.
Paul Lemos and Joe Papa released works together with their own
names as well as alone, while Paul Lemos and Chris Moriarty were
involved in the side-project Skin Chamber (also known as Fat
Hacker), with a more heavy metal approach.
