Change is the keyword that we will use when describing Lovesick Society, the second album by Polish Post New Romantic band AGONISED BY LOVE. It all started with a line-up change as musician Mariusz Gryciuk departed from the group. The split pushed the charismatic lead-singer Rafal Tomaszczuk into exploring new grounds and emotions. He found himself in a place where he discovered a deep dichotomy in his inner self, a place somewhere in between the contradicting worlds of Love and Sickness 3 years of studio work went into writing the album that was constructed on colliding worlds and contradictories. While we recognise the previous album, All Of White Horizons themes like rejected love, hopes and dreams we also enter a new twisted dimension, a sick world full of despair, insanity and nightmares It is the unexpected encounter between the raw and dark side between the new keyboardist and prominent Polish DJ Bartosz H 12 Hervy and the enigmatic romantic lyrics of AGONISED BY LOVEs unique singer. Lovesick Society stands at the crossroad between the tortured darkness of THE CUREs Disintegration album and DEPECHE MODEs dancey romantic pop.
