AMNISTIA is a electronic music-project based in Leipzig / Germany with 2 members, Stefan and Tino. Both are music-maniacs hanging up at concerts and collecting sound storage mediums. Based on a friendship both wanted to make something special, something own and founded the band in late 2003. AMNISTIA was not created in charge of current club music. The name AMNISTIA , which is amnesty in different languages (Russian, Spanishà), means their own amnesty in case of music. No longer just words, no longer endless discussions about subjective views. It is finally an own project, an own work, an own way to express what dark electronic music can stand for. AMNISTIA has it's own style and it's own aim - strong tracks. Using aggressive voice parts, strong bass lines, tough drums and percussions, precise placed samples and the waiver of clubby lead sounds - but there is no want and need to call the music "oldschool". Quite the converse - AMNISTIA constitutes a combination of sounds and stylistic devices, which seemed to be felt into oblivion, with modern sounds. But there is no pressure behind AMNISTIA . Of course there is a target, a vision of sounds or rhythms but there is no force to stay on a track. If a song finally fails its target of e.g. a harsh and punchy track in a poppy way... well, that's life.
