This surprising new star on the folk-scene sprouts from the punk-singer-songwriter-rock genre, but is striving to set a personal imprint, with obvious influences of course from apocalyptic-folk music. ROME is about motive songs that are both catchy and disturbing awakening memories of love and death, with the reoccurring themes of despair and loss, guilt and grief, might and war. With the cynical opening line "Once we learned to speak we learned to fail", the band sets a grand scale to this exquisite collection of six exclusive songs : a teaser to their upcoming ull-length CD planned for autumn 2006, "Berlin" comes presented in a very appealing digipak. Rome is neither from Rome, nor Berlin....
