New Order - Low Life (Remastered) (2xCD) (2008)

GENRE..... Alternative, Synthpop
LABEL...... Factory
MODE....... VBRkbps / Joint-Stereo
REL.DATE.. Sep-29-2008

Rising from the ashes of legendary British post-punks Joy
Division, New Order triumphed over tragedy to emerge as one of
the most acclaimed bands of the 1980s.

Embracing the electronic textures and disco rhythms of the
underground club culture years in advance of their
contemporaries, the group's pioneering fusion of new wave
aesthetics and dance music successfully bridged the gap between
the two worlds, creating a distinctively thoughtful brand of
synth pop.

1985s Low-Life further proved the bands talent for creating
dance-pop gems, such as "Sub-Culture" and "The Perfect Kiss". A
propulsive, smart and edgy album, it combined lush synth
patterns and programmed beats with a level of emotion that keeps
the music fresh. The bonus disc features extended mix versions
of several album tracks as well as the John Robie remix of
Shellshock - the song that brought the band to prominence in the
US after it appeared on the Pretty In Pink OST.

Additionally the original album comes again in a remastered
version.
