Since the beginning of time, mankind has dreamt up, conceived
and often feared dark worlds, mysterious myths, folklore and
utopias, due to their inconceivable and menacing nature. The
dark of night, with its myriad creatures, often hard to spot for
those that do not listen or watch attentively, holds a similar
fascination. It is from these spheres that Mina Harker gathers
the inspiration for her tales, which are oh so perilous,
surreal, outstanding and passionate. The songs are interpreted
in a highly individualistic manner, carried by a powerful voice
that can be as fragile as an angel and in the next moment harsh
and relentless, but that always integrates itself passionately
into the wild mood swings of the music.
The highly polished song arrangements, built around the hard
guitar sounds of Alexander Gorodezki, who, together with Mina
Harker, forms the creative core of the band, are an effective
counterpoint to the emotional vocals. Both Mina and Alexander
are very fond of opulent and atmospheric electronic sounds as
well, thus creating a dark digital aesthetic that effectively
transports passion and power into songs full of character and
with never too much pathos or dejection, carefully arranged and
perfectly produced with delicate German lyrics.
For "Bis zum Tod", the band collaborated with Dero from Oomph!,
who duets with Mina on one of the best songs from the album.
"Tiefer" is an irresistible experience that will drown you in
velvety yet relentless waves!

"Parachevement de l'Esquisse" is the ultimate compilation from the french band Opera Multi
Steel. It includes in a double cd the 30 OMS best tracks selected by the members of this
minimal synth wave group going from the very beginnings of the band in the eighties down to
2002 when they stopped to play live and record albums. You will be able to (re)discover
excerpts from their very first 4-track vinyl EP (Jardin Botanique) and from their different
albums released in vinyl or cd format: Cathedrale, A contresens, Les Douleurs de l'Ennui,
Stella Obscura, Histoires de France, Eternelle Tourmente, Une Idylle en peril. The booklet
has been designed with the different graphics from the various periods of the band and shows
period pictures as well.
This is the limited edition including a bonus disc with rare studio tracks, only available
before on compilations or various cds and three live tracks recorded in Sao Paulo (1997)
when the band came to play in Brazil. This limited edition is wrapped inside a zipper bag
printed with the OMS logo. Bonus gifts like postal card with the band member's autographs,
an OMS key ring and a sticker are also included.

Just plain magical: the successful dark wave band's eleventh
album. No other band in the German-speaking alternative and
dark wave scene polarizes as much as Illuminate does. Johannes
Berthold's troupe is either praised to the heavens or torn apart
as "schlager".
Illuminate succeeds in combining classical elements, danceable
rhythms, electronic sound collages, romantic piano passages, and
heavy guitars and turning all this into their own typical sound.
After ten studio albums and a total of approx. 200,000 sold
records, the band is among Germany's most successful dark wave
acts.
"Zeit der Woelfe" is a concept album based on fairy tales and
symbolism and is definitely one of Illuminate's saddest and most

Kreuzweg Ost is a darkwave/martial industrial project founded by Michael Gregor and Martin
Schirenc. The music is a blend of world war-related samples and loops with booming sounds
and instrumental pieces. There are no vocals; instead, the predominant samples are arranged
so that they take the role of vocals, sometimes telling short stories similar to radio play
snippets. Martin Schirenc, of Austrian death metal band Pungent Stench, left the group
shortly after the release of the Iron Avantgarde album and was replaced by programmer Ronald
Albrecht and producer/sound engineer Oliver Stummer. Michael Gregor is a member of the
Austrian band Summoning and is also known as Silenius. Oliver Stummer has also released as
Tomoroh Hidari and his Namelessness Is Legion.
Kreuzweg Osts concept is about making musical translations of various movies dealing with
military or religious topics. The selection of films includes literature adaptations, along
with other films. Musically, Kreuzweg Ost associates itself withmodern avant-garde and
rhythmic industrial, capturing the listener within its threatening sonic world.
Thematically, Kreuzweg Ost's debut release documents Germany's rise and fall during the
Second World War. Original samples taken from both Allied and German propaganda are worked
into the rhythmic setting in order to create a disturbing, stomping, stormy atmosphere often
taken to the point of ridicule. Rocket launchers and artillery sounds serve as the rhythmic
machinery transforming the cacophony of war into a musical experience. Kreuzweg Ost leaves
no listener unmoved and is thus, a must for musical masochists, freaks, and doomsday
prophets.

Silence is a Slovenian electronic, synth pop and soundtrack music composing duo consisting
of Boris Benko (singer and songwriter) and Primoz( Hladnik (keyboards and arrangements).
Their fanbase and their tours are currently limited to Slovenia, Germany and parts of
Eastern Europe. Outside the region, the band is probably mostly known for the album "Vain, A
Tribute To A Ghost" and their collaboration with Laibach on the album Volk in 2006.
The music is characterized by melancholy, experimental sounds and vocal arrangements as well
as meticulous production. The band is also known to incorporate various live instruments in
their recordings, such as the piano, violin, viola, double bass, cello, valiha and other.
The duo is recognized for their vast involvement in music writing for contemporary plays in
Slovenian theater. Usually they will tour with the cast, or even be part of it, and perform
the music live.
On Sep 1st 2008, the Pekinpah association released The Passion of the Cold, a 2CD collection
of SilenceÆs latest theatre works. The double album features music from (or inspired by)
Tomaz Pandur's plays Barroco and Kaligula.
The Passion of the Cold, printed as a lush, hard-cover book, contains 32 pages of
play-related texts (including forewords written by Benko), lyrics and photographs, as well
as two CD's with 30 previously unreleased tracks. The book is in English. The album, a
limited edition consisting of 500 nubered and hand-signed copies
The album, Silence's first venture into the realm of classical music, can be perceived - in
the light of the 2006 anthology Key Silence - as a symbolic break with the duet's previous
works. Nevertheless, at closer inspection, the record reveals all the characteristics - the
distinctive melodies and distinguishing vocals - that listeners have come to expect from
Silence.
A masterpiece !
